♡ Another Pink Look ♡

I wanted to try using some non-eye shadows as eye shadow and this is what the result was! I personally think this is the best looking one by far. I did however have to disown my left eye because it was cooperating with the winged liner. We won’t speak about that eye.

Fall & Winter Skincare Routine

My skincare routine has changed up a lot since I discovered the miracle that is oil cleansers, and knowing how to actually use them properly. I used to think my skin was oily, but it was just so dry that my skin produced excess oil. Over exfoliating was another skincare faux pas, but being way more gentle has improved my skin so much. So here’s what I’ve essentially been using for the past couple months:

Palmers Coconut Oil Cleanser – apply with damp hands and massage into skin, adding a little more water as you go. Also removes makeup amazingly. (note: I have no idea if Palmer’s is cruelty free or not, I bought it before checking 😮 ). I’ve used the Josie maran Oil cleanser before but wasn’t totally crazy about the price, plus i never actually used it properly I think….

Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleanser – use a little of this to get the remainder of the oil off, and rinse really really well.

Marcelle Ultra Hydrating Tonifying Lotion – apply gently with cotton swab/cotton pad, I don’t pull it across the skin.

Palmers Coconut Oil or Josie Maran Argan Oil or PF Argan Oil – I use whichever one I have at the time, and press it into the skin instead of rubbing.

**Also about 2 x a week (sort of) I use the ExfoliKate from Kate Somerville, or just some type of physical exfoliant, like LiveClean**

I still have some skin problems like the occasional pimple, but honestly these are minor. The next thing I want to work on is improving the overall texture, so we’ll see how that goes, but  I’m really happy with the improvement so far. 🙂

xox and Happy late-Halloween!! I haven’t been posting in forever, and I say this in every post (oops!). I’m very unorganized.

Firstly, could this packaging be any cuter?  I got these cuties as a Christmas gift and have been trying them out for a while.

Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush (left)

Haven’t used this as much as I would like because it is very shimmery, but I have heard that this shimmer is more of a layer on top so perhaps that will disappear with some use.

Nude Wear Touch of Glow Foundation (centre)

This is probably my favorite foundation of all time! I can’t say much about the little applicator brush that comes with because I feel it soaks up a lot of the product, however I do use it to dot the foundation on my face and I’m just using my fingers to spread it evenly. I do have a foundation brush I just haven’t got around to washing it. Oops.

Nude Wear Touch of Glow Stick (right)

Despite the cuteness of this chubby little thing I don’t like it all that much. It’s just very sparkly. As someone with oily skin I can say extra sparkle doesn’t look cute all over your face. Even trying to utilize this as a highlighter gets tricky. There is just too much sparkle! I also feel it might be a touch too dark for my skin at the moment since I’ve become extra pale over winter.

Some not very good swatches 😦

3. very shimmery blush swatches… I’ll try to get a better picture 🙂

Have a lovely day.
